Dark Lover: Anovel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward is the fabulous first book in the series.

This is the first book in the Black dagger brotherhood series and how appropriate that it is about the Blind King. What a great way to kick off a series! On one hand I wish I had stumbled upon this series sooner because it's just awesome, but I'm happy I stumbled upon it when I did because I now have 7 more books to read before I'm jonesing for a fix and have to wait a year or more for the next book release!

I was really surprised by this book. I remembered reading like the first two chapters somewhere a LONG time ago. When I was traveling to Europe in March I happened across this book in one of the stands at the airport. It looked like a good read so I picked it up.


Definitely a good buy! Stieg Larsson has some other books with similar titles out so I think it’s a series. I believe the book wasn't originally written in English because some things don't seem to translate correctly. Despite the sometimes language barrier that I didn't even notice past chapter 4 this is a great mystery novel. Way outside my normal book preference but well worth it!
